Our Department is currently comprised of 14 fulltime sworn officers, 5 year round special officers, 2 civilian employees and the Animal control officer. We are committed to the Problem Solving/Community Policing philosophy and are proud to serve the citizens of Oak Bluffs as well as our many summer visitors with the highest standards of policing excellence. As Chief of the Oak Bluffs Police Department I am especially proud of our continued efforts to maintain Certification through the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. We recently enjoyed a successful onsite evaluation testing our compliance and commitment to the policies of the Department Furthermore, I want to thank the Town of Oak Bluffs for their support in addressing the space needs of the Department. We recently moved into our new station, previously the Town Hall building located on Oak Bluffs Ave. We are confident that this renovated building will provide sufficient space and functionality for the foreseeable future.
