The Olde Hitching Post Restaurant and Tavern was originally a 24-seat coffee shop. The restaurant s circa 1810 New England farmhouse has undergone several expansions. The Olde Hitching Post features five private dining rooms and its Fireside Tavern. All rooms are available for small gatherings and large functions. Menu items include fish and chips, pasta primavera, liver and onions, chicken regatta, New England clam chowder, lobster bisque, buffalo chicken tenders, tomato-spinach-parmesan dip, spring rolls, roast turkey and haddock praline. The Olde Hitching Post s function menu features original recipes, traditional New England favorites, appetizers and desserts. The catering company offers service for parties, business meeting, clambakes, barbecues and weddings. The Olde Hitching Post Restaurant and Tavern is located in Hanson, Mass.
