History

My first official job as a photographer was working with a wedding photographer in Olympia, WA for two seasons, and I loved it! After years of working in museums and universities (The Art Institute of Chicago, Yale, and Harvard), I realized how much I missed photographing people. The energy of a couple in love, a wedding, the happiness and compassion exhibited by parents playing with their children--THAT'S what I really enjoy capturing in my photos. Thanks to the support and encouragement of my wonderful wife, I made the leap and started this wedding/family photography business, and I couldn't be happier. Every photo shoot is an opportunity to share in the joy and love between people, and doing my best to capture all those emotions is such a wonderful and fulfilling challenge.

Specialties

I really enjoy photographing families in their home to create more personalized photos that inspire memories in the years to come. When I photograph weddings, I am inspired by all the emotions of the day to capture those fleeting moments charged with emotion.
