HistoryExcel Martial Arts began as an offshoot of a Shotokan school. After many years studying Kenpo, Jui Jitsu, Pressure Points, and Tai Chi, our style American-Te was developed. John Hagman and Cody Robyn took over the Norwood location is 2003, joining it with their Mansfield School, which had been under their ownership since 1997. In 2014, after adding the Canton Facility and later the Randolph location, LCMA became Excel Martial Arts in all four locations.SpecialtiesExcel Martial Arts has been teaching self defense to Mansfield, Norwood, and the surrounding towns for over 30 years. We specialize in karate for children and a variety of self defense for adults including Tai Chi, Womens' Self Defense, Pressure Point Fighting, and Special Needs Karate.
