Barr Foundation offers community services to the residents of Boston. It also supports the center for leadership development organization of Boston Public schools.

CLF Ventures, founded in 1997, works to identify and reduce project risks. The organization serves clients in the corporate, private, government and nonprofit sectors. It helps clients optimize their stakeholder relationships with regulators, community groups and elected officials. CLF Ventures also offers assistance with project planning and strategy development. The organization provides regulatory and policy guidance solutions. In addition, it offers life cycle assessment, economic modeling, and friction point, feasibility and objective data analysis services. The organization s clients include Ensolve Biosystems, Meredith and Aroostook Wind Energy. CLF Ventures is a nonprofit affiliate of the Conservation Law Foundation, which was established in 1966.

Bay Cove Treatment Center operates a Substance Abuse Division that provides outpatient, medical assessment, and individual and group counseling services. It offers treatment for individuals who suffer from HIV/AIDS and are drug-addicted and mentally retarded. The center administers a driver alcohol educational program that serves individuals who are arrested twice for drinking and driving. Bay Cove Treatment Center provides assessment and diagnosis, parenting and family support services, as well as deals in employment, self esteem, lifestyle and health issues. It is a part of Bay Cove Human Services, which is a nonprofit organization that offers a batterer intervention program for women.
