ASC Incorporated has helped drivers feel the wind whip through their hair. ASC Incorporated, a full-service specialty-vehicle design and development partner for automotive manufacturers, was the first company to factory install a power sunroof in North America. It was also the first company to create a rail-to-rail sunroof and glass-panel sunroof. A retractable hardtop on a truck chassis, modern retractable hardtop, an outwardly-folding convertible top and factory-installed mobile entertainment system are other company firsts. German immigrant Heinz Prechter founded ASC Incorporated in 1965. The company employs approximately 1,000 in its design centers, engineering centers and manufacturing operations thoroughout the United States. ASC Incorporated is headquartered in Southgate, Mich.
