The first Dairy Queen store was opened in 1940 in Joliet, Ill. Since that time, the company has grown to more than 6,000 stores in over 20 countries. Dairy Queen is an ice cream shop and grill that is one of the largest fast food restaurant franchises in the world. For many years, the franchise's slogan remained "We treat you right!" In recent years, it has been changed to "DQ something different." Dairy Queen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. The company's stores are operated under three brands, all bearing the distinctive Dairy Queen logos and serving the company's signature soft-serve ice cream. Its stores serve a normal fast food menu that features burgers, french fries and processed chicken products in addition to frozen treats and hot dogs.

I went there to get a blizzard and they barely added any Oreos it was mostly just vanilla ice cream. not worth your time or money.

I stopped in to get a birthday cake and the employees were both very nice. I didn't even ask and the gentleman offered to personalize the cake for me. Would come back.

Absolute class at this DQ. Staff is patient and kind. Blizzard was off the charts - full of brownie and Oreo pieces and a very generous portion. Highly recommend.

They said they couldn't put sprinkles in our chocolate shake just because we were there 10 minutes until close ... rude teenage girls is what it sounded like.
