Cole's Quality Foods was founded as a Grand Rapids, Mich., neighborhood bakery in 1943 by L. Caroll Cole. Wesley S. Devon joined Cole's in the early 1970s and introduced the first frozen garlic bread which ultimately created Cole s frozen garlic bread category of products. Wes' son, Scott Devon took over the business in 1990 and expanded the company's offerings into a variety of distinct, innovative products, including Texas Toast, Breadsticks and Cheese sticks. Most of the company s products are frozen and sold in freezer aisles of grocery stores throughout the United States. The company s products can be found in nearly all Wal-Mart Supercenters. The company provides original garlic bread, garlic mini-loaf, garlic toast, garlic mini-toast, Texas toast, breadsticks, cheese sticks, Mozz/Cheddar bread and variety packs. The company is headquartered in Grand Rapids and operates a plant in Muskegon, Mich.
