Nothing but good vibes and experience at Grand Haven State Park. Yes there are large multiple parking lots that are able to hold a ton of people so on a nice day expect this place to be PACKED....

Grand Haven State Park has a beautiful sandy shore on Lake Michigan along the west side of the park and the Grand River along the north side of the park. The park consists entirely of beach sand and provides scenic views of Lake Michigan and the Grand Haven pier and lighthouse.

Beautiful beach! We came on a windy May weekend to explore. Parking was easy and we were able to walk down the beach to the pier with the lighthouse. We passed several bathrooms along the way....

Okay, so where do I start. I do A LOT, of camping. This park isn't really a good "campground" per say. It's a parking lot. You don't get sufficient space really either, which is kind of weird....
