Specializing In: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Dr. Lorenzana is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and is board certified in Pediatrics in Canada as well. He is also board certified in Hospice and Pallative Care Medicine. He graduated from the National University of Honduras. He completed his Pediatric residency at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, Lousiana and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Chicago. He is a member pf the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Oncology, and the American Association of Hospice and Pallative Medicine. His special clinical research interests is in the biology of childhood Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL). Areas of special interest include sickle cell disease, hospice and palliative care, vascular malformations and long term follow up of childhood cancer survivors. He has been named one of the area's top pediatric oncologists by Hour Detroit Magazine in its "Top Doc" survey multliple times. His main interest is to provide comprehensive medical and supportive care for all children and families afflicted with life-limiting conditions.

Carrie L. Dul, M.D. began her career in medicine as an R.N. completing her undergraduate degrees in psychology, biology and nursing science at University of Michigan-Dearborn and Wayne State University with highest honors. She attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School from 1995-1999. She then went on to complete both her Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. She returned to the Detroit metro area to join Great Lakes Cancer Management Specialists in the Fall of 2005. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Her professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians. Dr. Dul has a strong interest in the care of breast cancer patients and women's health in relationship to oncology and hematology diagnoses. She completed special clinical training in breast cancer during her fellowship and established an active breast cancer practice. She has participated in clinical trials, written and given review lectures for community oncologists, patients and her academic community in thee areas. She has additional training in ethics and has served on the ethics committee during her residency and fellowship. She has been recognized by her peers for exceptional compassion in caring for patients with humanism award. She serves as the Principal Investigator at St. John Hospital and Medical Center for clinical cancer trials with the National Cancer Institute, Mayo Clinic as well as other national research organizations. She serves on the Board of Michigan Cancer Research Consortium which is a network of community hospitals engaged in clinical research. She is an advocate for continued research in oncology and participation in clinical trials.

Allison Jay, M.D. works for the Cancer Genetics Program at St. John Hospital and the Van Elslander Cancer Center. She is certified in clinical genetics and medical biochemical genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Prior to her arrival to the Van Elslander Cancer Center, Dr. Jay completed a resident at Detroit Medical Center where she worked with cancer patients at Karmanos Cancer Institute. She then completed a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Biochemical genetics. Dr. Jay is an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State, where is involved in teaching the year one medical students introduction to genetics course. In addition, Dr. Jay is involved in the St. John Obstetrics and Gynecology residents training, as well as mentoring genetics counseling students from Wayne State who rotate through the Cancer Genetics Department. Dr. Jay has special interest in breast cancer, colon cancer, and genetic syndromes and has several presentations in those areas at national meetings. Dr. Jay is a member of several professional societies, including the American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) and the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD). Dr. Jay received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of medicine and completed a medical genetics resident at Detroit Medical Center.
