Jen Casey is a native of Manistique and graduated from Manistique High School in 1991. She started her career at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital as an LPN in 1996. She earned her Associates Degree at Bay College in 2000 and continued to work at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital as an RN, primarily in the Medical/Surgical and Emergency Departments. She earned her BSN and MSN degrees at Concordia University Wisconsin in 2018. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Jen works on the Cardiovascular team in the Specialty Clinic delivering care to heart patients in collaboration with Dr. Hoeve, our onsite cardiologist. Jen holds additional certifications in Emergency Nursing, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and individual/group crisis intervention. Jen and her husband Doug have two adult children, Sarah and Elliot.

Travis Fairbanks grew up in Gladstone, Michigan and is proud to call himself a Yooper who appreciates and serves the U.P. community through healthcare. He spent 10+ years as an ICU nurse. In his former role, he saw the sickest of people at their worst in condition. In this new position, he collaborates with patients to get ahead of potential future problems and finds this uplifting and meaningful. In his free time, Travis likes to explore and photograph forests, waterfalls, lakes, sunsets, beaches, and trails less traveled. The nature up here is unparalleled and experiencing the activities and adventures of each season offers him a variety of adventures, climates, and landscapes. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys the energy and laughter that come with having two Corgis! He and his wife love to travel and explore new cultures and countries too. Travis also confesses to having a big interest in video gaming.
