I am out of town and we wanted to stop by and was told koney island is a kind of staple in Detroit so decided to check it out. Here is my review..... Parking - they have ample parking....

I know carryouts lose something in transport but the #5 Gyro Combo was an absolute mess after only a 2 mile drive. The gyro was loaded with so much yogurt dressing that everything was swimming in...

I never figured out what was the extra $1.00 along with what else I said about my glass of water received as we were leaving! Food was delicious!

Great food. I always hit coney at least once when I'm back home. And for those that didn't know, Kerby's has frozen chili you can take with you.

Very nice chicken noodle soup! And the coney island dog and fries were pretty awesome as well. Waitstaff were super friendly. Can't find anything wrong with this place. The food is basic, but...
