Seth Van Heukelom, DO

Markus was influenced by a friend and family members during her teen years to one day fulfill the dream of becoming a nurse. After being a nurse for several years, she became more interested in trying to diagnose issues and determine needed treatment, which was when Markus decided to pursue an advanced degree. Markus graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She enjoys working in a small community which allows her to get to know people better. She appreciates coming to work and being able to help people feel better and improve their lives. Markus loves to spend her free time with extended family, as well as camping and swimming.

Stephanie Croy, DO, wanted to become a physician to serve her community. The way children respond to illness inspired her to pursue pediatrics—even at their sickest, they still want to play and smile. She enjoys her career because it allows her to build relationships with the families she serves and see her patients grow and develop. She has special interests in asthma and allergies. The best part of my job is getting to know the families that I serve, from newborns to teenagers, through both the bad times and good. It’s rewarding to help parents and their children with health questions and problems, and also being able to walk into a room and ask about the latest dance recital or baseball game.

Amanda chose her career in medicine because of her desire to work in healthcare and her natural care giving personality. She had a friend who was a physician assistant and after learning more about the profession she knew it was the right fit for her. She credits her parents as her biggest fans and influence in her life. Amanda is excited to come to work each day because of the people she gets to work with and because she can have an impact on the health of her patient’s. Outside of work, Amanda volunteers at her church. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing pickle ball, scrapbooking and puzzling. I enjoy interacting with patients one on one and helping them establish individual health goals.
