History Smith-Owen is a family owned and operated business which still practices the same Christian principles and philosophies established in 1950 by the founding Smith brothers. The success of Smith-Owen is attributed to their approach in handling each customer with care, honesty and fairness. Originally, Smith-Owen began as a manufacturer of sewing cabinets. Today, it is one of the top Husqvarna Viking sewing machine dealers in the USA. Recently, Smith-Owen added the outstanding Pfaff sewing products to its line. In addition to sewing machines they sell a large selection of fine quality cotton fabrics and notions. A variety of sewing and quilting classes are also offered by highly experienced instructors. SERVICE Our Service Department is one of the first dealerships in the country to achieve the Blue and Gold service award from Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine Company. It is known for its exceptional service and fair pricing on all makes of sewing machines and sergers. As sewing has become more computerized, our service technicians have kept up with the latest advancements in sewing machine and serger repair. Tim Owen, grandson of Al Smith has been the Service Manager since 1979.
