The Sturges-Young Civic Center and Auditorium is located in Sturgis, Mich. It maintains a facility for a variety of events, such as wedding receptions and big stage performances. The Sturgis Police Department is a law enforcement agency that works to prevent crime and strives to maintain a peaceful and safe environment, as well as protects residents lives and property. Located in Sturgis, Mich., it employs more than 15 full-time sworn officers, including a detective and a youth services officer. The department enforces laws and ordinances related to traffic rules, curfew, noise pollution, vehicle license and the usage of drugs. The Sturgis Police Department operates a reserve division and handles cases related to child abuse, identity theft, fraud and scam. It provides firearm services and organizes various neighborhood watch programs.
