Located in Minneapolis, Adult Probation is a county government-operated department that offers supervision, investigation and assessment services. The department also monitors the collection of correctional service fees from offenders placed on probation in Hennepin County, Minn. It provides pretrial screening, drug testing and home detention services. Adult Probation offers referral services, as well as promotes public safety. The department operates a fugitive apprehension unit that investigates, locates and arrests offenders who violate probation and parole conditions. Adult Probation administers the One-Day Driving While Intoxicated Program, which includes counseling and alcohol education services. The department provides therapies to first-time offenders to prevent repeated offenses.
