Mississippi State University Office

Established in 1972, Mississippi State University is a comprehensive, doctoral-degree-granting university that offers a range of educational opportunities for students. The university offers upper-level undergraduate and graduate programs in philosophy, business, psychology, political science and communication. It has an annual enrollment of more than 17,500 students. Mississippi State University administers the Appalachian Leadership Honors Program. The university serves the residents of Mississippi and West Virginia. It provides sports activities, such as football and baseball. Mississippi State University has a parents club that works for student welfare. It manages Advanced Prototyping and Experiments Laboratory, which conducts research that addresses critical national and security problems and develops technologies in partnership with major defense corporations. Mississippi State University also operates the MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts. The university operates 10 branch stations throughout Mississippi. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
