SpecialtiesWith over 5 years of teaching experience, Mark has learned to love his ability to pass down musical knowledge to others and takes great pride in helping keep the tradition of music alive. He has written his own curriculum designed to help a person of little to no musical background to learn the fundamental techniques (picking techniques and the metronome will become your best friends!) of the guitar and to navigate the entire neck. His goal is to give a basic theoretical understanding to your instrument and help you understand why things work, then take these ideas and apply them to the various types of songs you will learn during your lessons. Some songs are preselected for the purpose of the lesson, but most will be songs of your choice, so your lessons can be personalized to help you learn the style of music you enjoy. Mark teaches at School of Rock in Hinsdale, Uncle Jon's Music in Westmont, IL and currently accepting private students at his home studio in North Center.
