Publishing Concepts' first client was the Northern Illinois Tourism Council in Rockford, Illinois. Publishing Concepts sold advertising and marketed the NITC Visitors Guide. Shortly thereafter, Publishing Concepts began publishing the Official Illinois State Highway Map for the Illinois Bureau of Tourism in Chicago and branded/distributed a line of merchandise for the Missouri Division of Tourism. In the winter of 1992, KPLR Channel 11 in St. Louis hired Publishing Concepts to provide marketing support and advertising sales in their Kid's Club membership publication.
