Fiberlite Technologies Inc

Fiberlite Technologies, Inc ( FTI ) is a leading manufacturer of cellulose insulation. Founded in 1974 and based in Joplin, Missouri, this family owned enterprise manufactures high quality, insect and mold resistant insulation. We take great pride in our product and are committed in providing exceptional customer service backed by outstanding technical support. We also stand behind our product with an industry leading WARRANTY which gives home owners, installers, builders and architects the peace of mind that this product will perform as advertised. FTI started life as P.K. Insulation Mfg. Co., Inc ( PKI ) making thermal insulating cements under a private label agreement with Eagle-Picher Industries' Insulation Division. By 1977, PKI has expanded its product lines to include cements and dry blend mixes and began selling directly to the trade. A move to a 20, 000 square foot facility in Joplin's Southern Industrial Park in 1985 increased PKI's capacity and also led to the introduction of new machinery for the manufacture of commercial and residential insulation materials. The company introduced PK Class I Cellulose Insulation serving contractors in the central midwest. A license to manufacture IN-CIDE Pest Control ( PC ) Insulation followed along with the introduction of WAL-MAT Spray Applied Wall Cavity Insulation and SATAC Spray Applied Thermal Acoustical Cellulose. These products made PKI a broad based manufacturer of unique insulating materials as well as a major recycler of wastepaper in the midwest. In 1991 the company acquired the Encotec product line of commercial spray adhesives. This acquisition provided the company with a complete commercial building insulation system utilizing its SATAC Insulation and Encotec Adhesives. The wood fiber cellulose manufacturing process was upgraded in 1993 with the installation of a low-density fiberizer. This state of the art technology led to the development of FIBER-LITE Cellulose Insulation and had a positive impact as to efficiency and coverage on the complete cellulose product line.
