Established in 1959, Daniel Boone Regional Library provides various services to the library districts of Boone and Callaway counties and Columbia, Mo. The library, through its outreach department, provides bookmobile services to the library districts. It serves its members by providing educational and recreational materials, technological resources and an active schedule of programs and displays. The library offers a range of print and nonprint materials, including new books, periodicals, audiocassettes, compact discs, instructional videocassettes, VHS tapes and DVDs. It also provides online public access catalogs. The library organizes various programs for teenagers and children. It offers various readers services that include bestsellers, award winners, book discussions and genre lists, booklists, literary links, Missouri authors directory, and local and online bookstores.
