Knox County R-I Elementary School

Knox County High School, located in Edina, Mo., offers education to students in grades seven through 12. It is affiliated with Knox County R-I school district, and has an enrollment of more than 300 students. The school offers a variety of subjects in its curriculum, including English, American history, science, social studies, business education, foreign language, industrial technology, mathematics, and physical and health education. Curriculum offered by the school includes math, industrial technology, social studies, English, business, art, history, Spanish, business, music and physical education. The school offers a variety of organizations to students, including National Honor Society and the academic bowl. Various sport programs offered by the school include basketball, softball, track and spring sports. Brashear School also offers a library, daily lunch and guidance counselor to the students. It is part of the Adair County R II Schools, and is located in Brashear, Mo.

Established in 1996, Heartland Christian Academy is a private Christian school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It provides Christian-centered education to more than 250 students. The academy offers regular diploma, college preparatory, and vocational and technical training programs. Its college preparatory program includes chemistry, math and foreign language courses. Heartland Christian Academy also provides choir and band programs, as well as various athletic activities, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track and field. It offers Pathways, a reading and development computer program to increase reading and thinking skills. The academy organizes picture day and open house events. Heartland Christian Academy is governed by Heartland Community Church and is located in Bethel, Mo.
