HistoryJulie was invited to work part time in a counseling position that later grew to founding Reigning Grace Counseling Ministries with Bruce Roeder in West Allis, Wisconsin. Originally created to fulfill a need in the community, it quickly grew to become the premiere counseling center in the Northern Great Lakes Region. The focus of the Biblical counseling model was shifting away from the behaviorist model that had dominated counseling at the time and towards the heart model, originally developed by Debbie Pryde, and grace-based counseling. During her time with Reigning Grace Counseling Ministries, Julie developed her first workbook and published book, The Process of Biblical Change. In 2009, Julie's husband was offered a position in Kansas City, Missouri, and Julie began the process of transferring the Reigning Grace Counseling Ministry to their new home church, Faith Community Church. Renamed Reigning Grace Counseling Center, it has continued to grow & expand into two locations.SpecialtiesReigning Grace ministers to those who struggle with sinful and addictive behaviors and brings them help, healing, and hope in Jesus Christ.
