Dr Aboudara completed his medical degree at Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, New York, where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Upon graduation, he entered the US Army and completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center/National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC. Prior to completing his military obligation, he was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

A native of Kansas City, Dr. Svetlecic received her undergraduate degree in biology and medical degrees from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Additionally, she completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UMKC. During her residency and fellowship, she was awarded first place twice in UMKC's research competition. She is the recipient of three awards from the American College of Chest Physicians for her work on complications from lung transplants.
