Erik Stabell, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and infectious disease specialist who sees patients 18 years and older. He provides preventative care, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, and routine physicals. Dr. Stabell manages illnesses such as cold and flu symptoms, allergies and chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal issues, neurological symptoms and HIV. Dr. Stabell is passionate about assisting his patients in maintaining their health and managing illnesses. He believes that medical care is a collaborative process involving both the patient and the physician. He offers resources for decision-making and health improvement, demonstrating unwavering dedication and compassion towards his patients. Dr. Stabell's upbringing in central Africa, where his parents served as missionaries, inspired him to pursue a medical career. When he isn't caring for patients, he enjoys singing in his church choir, playing guitar, taking photos of bugs and birds to share with others and spending time with his family.Dr. Stabell earned his medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago.He joined the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a flight surgeon for three years.
