Robert E. Lee Elementary School

Established in 1904, Lee Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in Columbia, Mo. The school offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options for more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes English, art, music, drama, visual art, literature, social studies and physical sciences. Lee Elementary School s students participate in various concerts and dramatic presentations. It encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities, including field trips to museums and galleries. Lee Elementary School is a part of Columbia Public Schools, which governs several elementary, middle and high schools. Columbia Public Schools provides educational programs for over 17,000 students.

Stephens College, founded in 1833, is one of the oldest colleges in the United States for women. The college serves more than 30,000 women throughput the world. It offers over 50 major and minor programs in biology, fashion, interior design and theatre. Stephens College offers guidance counseling sessions. The college provides opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as basketball, softball, cross-country, swimming, tennis and volleyball.
