Ridgeway Pharmacy

Ridgeway Pharmacy's conception can be traced back to two men with a great idea. Jim Cloud, an entrepreneurial business man, and Kyp Curtis, a practicing pharmacist, wanted to start a home delivery prescription service. In 1998, the two men opened their mail order pharmacy in a Super One Foods store in Stevensville, Montana. The innovative owners worked long and hard to attract the business of major organizations such as the Montana University System and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana (the state's largest health insurance company), eventually securing contracts with both groups. Ridgeway began experiencing rapid growth shortly thereafter, and the company hasn't looked back since. Today, Ridgeway Pharmacy is one of the largest independent drug dealers in the Northwest and has expanded into three lines of pharmaceutical services: mail order pharmacy, walk in pharmacy, and compound prescriptions pharmacy. The company has also grown in size, now employing over 30 people and serving customers across the state from its four locations in Victor, Hamilton, Corvallis, and Stevensville, Montana. Ridgeway's technological focus has significantly contributed to their phenomenal growth and overall success. Integrating the latest pharmaceutical technology into their business has allowed Ridgeway to more efficiently serve their clients through convenience, customer service, and fast delivery and turnaround times. Examples of Ridgeway's advanced technology investments include a robotics system that automates the company's prescription filling process and a mechanized order tracking and verification system that ensures virtually perfect accuracy on prescription refills. The company's technology continues to advance, also allowing Ridgeway to provide high tech jobs throughout Montana. Ridgeway co-owner Kyp Curtis is a Montana native and has a background in respiratory therapy. He received both his respiratory therapy and pharmaceutical degrees from the University of Montana. Co-owner Jim Cloud, originally from Colorado Springs, moved to Montana 12 years ago. He is a pharmacy technician and the first of his position to be appointed to the Montana Board of Pharmacy. The two first joined forces after working together at a pharmacy in the Bitterroot Valley.
