Snowy Mountain Development Corporation (SMDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Lewistown, Montana. Established in 2001, SMDC's mission is to build community and economic capital in Central Montana, specifically in Fergus, Judith Basin, Wheatland, Petroleum, Musselshell, and Golden Valley Counties. With funding from local, state, and federal governments, SMDC partners with local governments, community organizations, businesses, and entrepreneurs to implement key community and economic development projects. Through its three service centers, SMDC provides access to financial products, development services, and nonrepayable financial grants to support small businesses, clean up contaminated sites, and promote leadership education and training.

Serving a population of nearly 22,000 people, SMDC operates in a 12,328-square-mile area characterized by a mix of plains and island mountain ranges.
