The Friends of Lewis and Clark Bicentennial established in 2002 is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation whose mission is to provide free information to the public about the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and to promote travel on today’s Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. The Great Rivers region includes some of today’s leading visitor attractions in southern Illinois, the St. Louis Arch, Missouri, Kansas City, Kansas, and southeast Nebraska. The Great Plains region includes today’s leading visitor attractions in western Iowa, the Lewis and Clark Bike Trail, Omaha, eastern Nebraska, hiking and camping at Nebraska state parks, and southeast South Dakota. The Rocky Mountain region includes some of today’s leading visitor attractions in South Dakota, Medora and North Dakota, Montana, and is the trailhead to Yellowstone National Park. The Pacific Northwest region includes some of today’s leading visitor attractions in Montana, Idaho, Washington, the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Portland, and Oregon’s North Coast.

The Nebraska Jewish Historical Society (NJHS) is dedicated to preserving the rich histories of Jewish families who settled in Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa. Through their extensive archives, which include paper, oral histories, photographic records, and artifacts, NJHS aims to create a lasting heritage for future generations. Located at the Milton Mendel and Marsha Kleinberg Jewish Omaha Heritage Center, the society offers a variety of exhibits that showcase the lives of Omaha's Jewish community dating back to the 1850s.
