MP Global Products was founded in 1997 as Midwest Padding. The company s early years focused primarily on manufacturing synthetic carpet padding. Eventually it began researching and developing an acoustical underlayment for hard surface flooring and soon developed the QuietWalk underlayment for laminate flooring. This product is engineered to offer superior moisture protection and sound deadening, so it is frequently used by architects in high-rise apartment and condominium buildings. MP Global s foam products are manufactured using environmentally friendly, post-industrial or pre-consumer fibers. The company also produces stone flooring systems, composite deck materials and radiant heat flooring. MP Global Products maintains its headquarters in Norfolk, Neb.
