History

The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA (formerly known as the Siouxland Y) has been an essential part of the community for over 125 years. As a diverse, non-profit organization, all members, volunteers, staff, donors and participants are joined together by the shared commitment youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y strives to provide safe, affordable and quality programs to meet anyone's wants and needs. Programming includes everything from swimming lessons and summer camp to cancer patient wellness, youth sports (soccer, t-ball, football, basketball), weight loss programs and personal training. The Y also partners with a wide variety of non-profit organizations and businesses to promote community wellbeing. The Y is a mission-centered, cause-driven, non-profit dedicated to impacting the people in the communities we serve everyday through programming that builds a healthy mind, body and spirit for all.

The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA (formerly known as the Siouxland Y) strengthens the community by building strong bodies, minds and spirits through programs for all age groups. Its facilities and services include: a two-court gymnasium, fitness lap swimming pool, family fun pool with slides, over 40 pieces of cardio equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, etc.), free weights, TechnoGym and FreeMotion weight equipment, aerobic/fitness studio classes, outdoor swimming pool, youth center, child watch/nursery and personal training. The Y also offers youth sports leagues year round and other adult and youth wellness programs.

worst pay over fifty a month and you do not have access to all the amenities your paying for. had to chase a man out of the womens locker room. I reported it to the front desk with no resolution....

While the building looks nice, the policies and staff are not so much! During covid, I purchased a membership which I thought was pricey for the area. Also paid for personal training sessions...
