Children s Hospital of Omaha, Neb., is a health care facility that specializes in pediatric services. The hospital features a 24-hour emergency care center, an asthma and allergy clinic, behavioral health and family support services, spasticity management, respiratory care and surgery. Children s Hospital also offers services regarding eating disorders, diabetes, infectious diseases, metabolic management, cardiology, neurology and neuro-diagnostics. Children s Hospital is associated with a network of physicians, clinics and urgent care centers that provide extensive pediatric services, as well. The Rainbow House, located near the hospital, is a 30-plus-room facility for families and patients who require extended stays. In addition, the Children s Hospital Foundation, founded in 1981, is designed to raise awareness and manage and distribute funds to support the hospital s services. As an advocate for children, many of the services the hospital provides are not reimbursed.
