Westside Community Office

A-H-S-T High School is a learning center that provides educational services to students in grade nine through 12. It conducts classes in industrial arts, computer applications, business education, and family and consumer science. The school offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, wrestling, softball, and track and field. It operates clubs and student organizations, such as the National Honor Society and band. The school staff includes custodians, nurses and guidance counselors. Its library and media center provides a range of books and encyclopedias. The school is a part of the A-H-S-T Community School District. It is located in Avoca, Iowa.

Amen Catholic Social Services traces its beginnings to 1932 when Bishop Louis Kucera founded CSS to respond to the needs of persons suffering the effects of the Great Depression. We are an agency of the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln serving under the auspices of Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz. Christ Centered: To provide a structured, systematic formation program for our staff reflecting our Catholic faith, our unity in the Mystical Body and our vocation of Catholic charity. Diocesan Wide: To provide Catholic charity to every person in Southern Nebraska through a diocesan-wide network of the Catholic community. Parish-Based: To provide Catholic charity collaboratively through the structure of the Church within Southern Nebraska, honoring the principle of subsidiarity.
