Transition Services

Established in 1997, Transition Services is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 150 individuals each day with developmental disabilities. The agency organizes training sessions in paper making, gardening, computer skills and document destruction. It conducts classes in preparing bath products, creating gift cards and answering phone calls. Transition Services hosts visits to libraries, museums and parks. The agency s developmentally disabled crew members provide cleaning services to grain markets, craft fairs and local businesses. Its crew members specialize in desert landscaping, general cleanup, lawn cutting, trimming and dog cleanup. Transition Services maintains an office location in Las Vegas. The agency offers work programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and those with hearing and sight impairments.

Transition Services mission is to provide services for people with developmental disabilities who were not successful in other Las Vegas-based programs. In its nearly 10-year history, the company has grown to nearly five Southern Nevada locations and has expanded its services to provide fulfilling work and social experiences for more than 170 individuals each day. As a nonprofit organization, the company is committed to offering meaningful work programs that allow the people it serves to reach their highest potential in their own way. Service and program activities include cleaning, shopping for supplies, document destruction, crushing cans, making paper, creating gift cards, performing computer work, gardening, answering phones, visiting libraries and museums, making bath products, volunteering and taking walks in the park. The company is accredited by United Way of Southern Nevada. Transition Services is headquartered in Las Vegas.
