Emily S. Frydman, MD

I was drawn to primary care and preventive medicine because it provides a way to stop diseases before they happen or progress so that I can help people maintain their good health. I offer my patients evidence-based diagnostic and treatment options. I work with them to come up with a reasonable and achievable plan that will work for them. Together we try to address barriers to care before they happen, and we plan for ways the patient can be supported along the way. I enjoy treating the whole person by considering how all of the body systems work together. I also enjoy helping patients navigate the complicated health care system and helping to coordinate their care among multiple providers and specialists. While my goal is to keep my patients healthy so that they do not have to see me, I also enjoy developing trusting relationships so that they feel welcome to reach out to me whenever issues, big or small, arise.

I love being a doctor in Family Medicine because I enjoy seeing the whole family, from newborns to the elderly. I like to know about patients as individuals and what makes them feel whole. Patients love that I remember details about their lives, their work, and their family members. I love to listen to my patients tell me about their successful outcomes. Keeping them healthy, happy, and successful means success for me too!
