My goal is to give my patients the best medical care available to help them recover from stroke and prevent future recurrences. I offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and risk factor management with a focus on wellness. If necessary, I connect them with other experts in the field to help manage complex conditions. My goal is to give my patients the information and the knowledge they need to make the best decisions for themselves about their health and wellness. Stroke is a condition that afflicts an individual but affects the whole family. As part of our care, our team assesses for caregiver strain, family stress and other factors that affect family dynamics and social support. Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in the United States and worldwide. Working in this field gives me an opportunity to address one of the leading health concerns in our community and a chance to make a difference every day. It’s gratifying to seeing patients that I took care of in the emergency room—when they were at their worst level of debilitation—walk into the clinic months later, having made an outstanding recovery. Being part of the stroke survivor’s journey and helping people achieve happy, healthy fulfilling lives is most rewarding.

My goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive orthopaedic care to every one of my patients. As a former athlete, I understand the importance of movement and mobility to each person’s physical and mental well-being. It’s gratifying to see patients heal and recover. Whether it means getting back to work, gardening, or competitive sports, my goal is to help patients return to the life they enjoy. I view my patients as partners in their own care. I encourage them to actively participate in creating a treatment plan to achieve their goals.
