Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates is a nonprofit multispecialty medical group practice, headquartered in Boston and with more than 10 locations in and around Greater Boston. Established in 1997, it is also a major teaching affiliate of the Harvard Medical School and many of its physicians are involved in teaching the Harvard Medical School students and residents. It employs a team approach to health care and offers a wide array of physicians and other health care professionals. The patient s primary care physician works with a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and others, to handle regular checkups, coordinate specialty care and look after overall health. It offers more than 35 medical and surgical specialties, including audiology, behavioral health, cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, endocrinology, orthopedics, genetics, podiatry, pulmonology, maxillofacial surgery and rheumatology and gastroenterology.
