Garage Sale Antiques, founded on April Fools' Day in 1979 by Lyndee and Dennis DeMeo, along with friend Mike McShane, initially opened its doors in New York City and quickly became a beloved neighborhood spot for vintage enthusiasts. The store has evolved over the decades, relocating to various locations and expanding its offerings to include everything from pottery and lighting to hip clothing and costume jewelry.
After establishing a successful presence in NYC, the partners relocated to the Delaware Seashore, opening a second location in Rehoboth Beach. Eventually, they consolidated their efforts into the Garage Sale Antique Warehouse, which remains a destination for antique lovers seeking unique finds in Lewes, Delaware.
