Hawthorne Christian Academy

Hawthorne Christian Academy, located in Hawthorne, N.J., is a coeducational, college preparatory day school. Founded in 1981 as a ministry of the Hawthorne Gospel Church, it is evangelical and interdenominational, with selective admissions. It offers classes from grades kindergarten through 12, and enrolls more than 500 students. The school provides a strong academic program, including advanced placement and honors courses, and provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, computer science, social studies and science. It is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. Its facilities include a fully automated library with more than 15 workstations, two gymnasiums, music room, state-of-the art science and computer labs, 10,000-volume, fully automated library, and athletic fields. Hawthorne Christian Academy encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its yearbook, newspaper, band, student council, and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and football.
