425 S Main St
Pennington, NJ 08534
Hopewell Valley Regional School District, as it functions today, has been a regionalized operation since 1965 when voters of Hopewell Township, Hopewell Borough and Pennington Borough approved a plan to consolidate their schools. But the first consolidation of local schools actually occurred in 1894 when the 14 separate districts, operating one-room schoolhouses throughout the valley, agreed to merge and be governed by a single school board. The mission of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, in partnership with the community, is to provide a comprehensive, caring educational experience which •Nurtures the unique talents of each individual •Creates a fulfilled, socially responsible, life-long learner •Develops confidence and capabilities to face the challenges of a rapidly changing world •Promotes a culture of respect which values diversity As partners, we will provide sufficient resources and a talented, committed staff that creates a safe environment where all individuals flourish. Through this Mission and Strategic Plan, the Board of Education expects that all students will achieve the NJ Core content Curriculum Standards at all grade levels.

Great school district. Highly ranked. Different from neighboring school districts because it's high performing without the stress of a Princeton or WWP.
