During a twenty-three year career in the field of architecture, our design aesthetic has evolved into a soft modernism based on traditional materials and methods of construction. This ideal that has occurred in the buildings we have designed, has now emerged in the furniture we are designing. In many cases, the furniture line by RBD compliments and expands the built environments we create. Influenced by the work of Wright, R.M. Schindler, Greene & Greene, and Stickley, RBD's work consists of straightforward, innovative design with firm roots in traditional and early modern architecture and furniture making.
