The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey manages and maintains bridges, tunnels, bus terminals and airports. Established in 1921, it operates a resource recovery facility that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located in Essex County in New Jersey. The authority manages Red Hook Container Terminal, which features facilities for containerized and noncontainerized cargoes.
