Emily Findakly
Emily Findakly, PA-C first gained experience in internal medicine as a hospitalist at Overlook Medical Center where she developed a strong medical foundation in her healthcare career. After dedicating time to learning a comprehensive approach to patient care, Ms. Findakly decided to specialize in a more hands-on field in general and specifically bariatric surgery, where she assists patients with abdominal and bariatric procedures to improve quality of life and overall comorbidities that are seen in and outside of the hospital. When visiting with a patient, Ms. Findakly believes the most important thing one can do is listen, I believe that bedside manner is of utmost importance creating trust between patient and provider begins with understanding your patients without making them feel uncomfortable, rushed or unimportant. Doing so allows you to hear every aspect of history which may be important in decision-making skills, she said.Ms. Findakly pursued a career in healthcare to fulfill her inner desire to learn about the human body and help others. She loves being able to provide a patient with a safe relationship where they can understand the information related to their care and to feel understood. She is interested in educating the community about leading healthy lifestyles and preventative medicine.Habitat for Humanity is a cause that interests Ms. Findakly, having a history of traveling to undeserved cities to build, paint and construct homes for those in need. Her other passions outside of work include baking, learning new languages, playing piano, soccer and spending time with family and friends.
