Village Of Ridgewood

Ridgewood Village Assessment is a division of the Department of Finance, Ridgewood, N.J. The division provides a fair and equitable base for distributing property taxes, educates the public in the process and provides access to important information relating to real estate and sales of property. Each year the division is responsible for identifying, listing and valuing real estate in the village, as well as defending the values. It requires collection, interpretation, and maintenance of data from various sources. It also provides other departments and the public access to its database. It administers several programs, such as farmland assessments, tax exemptions to eligible nonprofit organizations and annual assessment notifications.
