Carlsbad Intermediate School

Alta Vista Middle School, located in Carlsbad, N.M., offers educational instruction to student from grades six to eight. The school is governed under the Carlsbad Municipal School District, and enrolls more than 600 students. It provides classes in science, algebra, art and crafts, mathematics, social studies, and English. It also has athletic teams for various sports, such as softball, basketball, football, soccer and volleyball. The school provides different enrichment activities, including instrumental and choral music programs, technology instruction and drama. Alta Vista Middle School offers its students access to a fully integrated internal computer network, including access to the Internet.
