I am a maxillofacial prosthodontist/dental oncologist with more than twenty-five years of experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am an expert in creating prostheses to rehabilitate patients with defects or deficits of the face, jaws, and surrounding soft tissues, whether they are acquired as a result of cancer surgery or traumatic injuries, or from alterations in growth and development or congenital birth defects. I am Chief of the Dental Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and am proud to participate in the premier training programs in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology in the country.

I am a dentist who is trained in dental oncology. While I provide all phases of dental and oral care, I have a special interest and expertise in the dental and oral evaluation and treatment of children with cancer; patients with hematologic malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma; and patients with head and neck cancer. The care that I provide includes dental evaluation (dental clearance) prior to bone-marrow or stem-cell transplant; periodic care during and following cancer treatment; evaluation and treatment of the oral side effects of cancer therapy, such as dry mouth, oral candidiasis (thrush), and mouth sores; tooth restoration, extraction, and root canal therapy; and emergency dental treatment.

I am a dental oncologist with special training in mouth (oral) cancer. This includes cancers of the inner cheek, floor of the mouth, gum, hard palate, lip, and tongue cancers. My practice is located in New York City.
