Advocates for Justice (A4J) is a public interest law foundation based in New York, NY. Founded in 2011 by Arthur Z. Schwartz, a civil rights lawyer with a 30-year history of protecting workers' rights, A4J provides pro bono or low-cost advocacy and legal representation to the underrepresented and disadvantaged individuals. Their mission is to fight for socioeconomic justice and equality for all, supporting community groups and addressing issues such as educational equity, workers' rights, civil rights, and environmental justice.

Emerging from the work of community activists and the progressive legal community, A4J is a strong and loud voice in the fight for social justice. With a focus on protecting workers from employment discrimination and violations of free speech, A4J was created to address the lack of public interest firms in the United States and the overwhelming need for passionate and effective legal representation for those in need.
