I appreciate Jane's review. Though I've never been there, my family has a crypt in this cemetery (see photos). I intend to visit it the next time in New York, hopefully while I'm still alive.

Acacia Cemetery, nestled in Ozone Park, NY, invites visitors to wander through its grounds where historical monuments from the 1800s stand tall. Many of the family names etched in stone here continue to resonate in the local community. Noteworthy are the resting places of Civil War veterans, honored with a dedicated memorial on the southern end of the cemetery.
Spanning about 8 acres in Lynden Township, Acacia stands as a non-denominational burial ground overseen by its lot owners. Governed through an annual meeting, this serene cemetery maintains rates and policies set by its community of lot owners. Operated as a 501(c)13 entity, Acacia is a cherished space owned and managed by the families who rest within its peaceful grounds.
