With a focus on providing care and education to orphaned and at-risk youth, Migdal Ohr, meaning "tower of light" in Hebrew, has been recognized by Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Ministry of Education as an exemplary institution. Through various programs, including day care, dorm family living, schools, after-school youth clubs, and culinary arts training, Migdal Ohr aims to empower children and give them the tools they need to succeed in life.

With over 50 years of experience and a network of dedicated staff and volunteers, Migdal Ohr has had a profound impact on Israeli society, with thousands of alumni thriving in the workforce and building strong families of their own. The organization relies on donations and monthly giving to provide basic essentials, education, and empowerment to the children in their care, ensuring they have a chance at a better future.

It is the mission of American Friends ( AFIPO ) to secure the financial future of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra ( IPO ) so that it may continue to travel throughout the world bringing its message of peace and cultural understanding through music. AFIPO supports the Orchestra's international touring program, educational projects, a wide array of musical activities in Israel and an endowment fund to further ensure the IPO's future. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is under the esteemed leadership of Music Director, Zubin Mehta. AFIPO seeks to broaden its commitment to the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra while at the same time enlarging the Orchestra's endowment. Funds raised by AFIPO help the Orchestra initiate and strengthen existing programs, and maintain its high standard of musical excellence without placing a financial burden on the IPO's budget or compromising its long-term stability. Contributions help to underwrite the IPO's international tours, expand and enhance the Orchestra's musical programs for Israeli youth, purchase valuable instruments to enrich the sound of the Orchestra, and preserve the Orchestra's history through archival projects. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Ambassador Society is a community of donors, between the ages of 35 and 55, who share an appreciation of classical music and an interest in philanthropic support of Israel. The focus of the group is to raise money for the IPOs KeyNote Education and Outreach Program now in its tenth year. KeyNote reaches over 28, 000 Israeli children annually through programs in Israeli schools and at the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv. You can join the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Ambassador Society and be a part of the committee for the future of the IPO with a minimum contribution of $250 per person. If you are interested in becoming a member of the IPO Ambassador Society, click here to make a donation of $250 or more.
