Dr. Cohen graduated with honors from Binghamton University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematical Sciences and Chemistry. As an undergraduate, he was awarded a health professions scholarship with the United States Air Force. He then received his medical degree from the State University of New York - Health Science Center at Brooklyn and obtained membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. After medical school, Dr. Cohen completed his internship in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital followed by residency training in ophthalmology at the State University - Kings County Hospital Center. He then obtained his Board Certification.

Dr. Jay Fleischman began his career as a systems analyst and programmer at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York while earning his degrees in applied mathematics, computer engineering, and medicine from Columbia University. Among his many inventions, the laser endophotocoagulator has become an essential tool and a global standard of care for advanced surgical retina cases.As an expert in diabetes treatment and its complications, particularly diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Fleischman participated as an investigator in the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT), a pivotal study by the US National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. He has consulted for various companies, including HGM, Alcon, and Mentor, and has served as an advisor for Dauphin Capital Management, NGN Capital Management, and Pfizer. Currently, he is a healthcare advisor to CRT Capital.
